My data source contains just over a thousand records. I upload it to staging
once a month and it takes an hour or so before the "Home" page shows the
change (even though the upload process is shown as sucessful and complete.

Then I copy it to production. The job shows as sucessful and complete, but
it will take HOURS before the Home page shows the correct number of records.
Sometimes it won't catch up until the next day.

I used to go crazy, re-uploading and re-uploading, trying to get it work.
Now I just wait.

What could be taking so long for such a small file?

When I do on-the-fly changes during the month, the live file refreshes
within 20 minutes or so.

Thanks to anyone who can shed some light, Victoria

Victoria,

Basically there are a lot of servers on Microsoft's end and so the
replication process takes a while to reflect on CSS. I've clocked on the
average about 1 hour for the changes to take place, but I believe by SLA it
is 1 business day. File size unfortunately doesn't seem to affect the speed
of the replication.
